Privacy Policy — Block Journey: World Builder

This Privacy Policy explains what information Block Journey: World Builder (“the Game”, “we”, “us”) collects, how it is used, and your choices regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

The Game uses anonymous authentication — you are not required to provide an email address, phone number, or real name to play. When you first open the Game, an anonymous account is automatically created and linked to your device.

You will be asked to choose a username (nickname). This username:

Is chosen by you and does not need to be your real name.
Is stored and may be visible to other players (e.g. on leaderboards).
Cannot be changed once set.

1.2 Gameplay Data

To save and sync your progress, we store the following gameplay data associated with your anonymous account:

Current level and level progression
Stars earned and best scores per level
Unlocked and completed theme/world content
Collected in-game elements/items
Hint tokens and powerup counts (e.g. row blast, column blast, 4x4 blast, random blast)
Total score / in-game coin balance (soft currency used to purchase cosmetics)
Total stars earned
Avatar selection and unlocked avatars
Equipped and unlocked avatar frames
Whether ads have been removed (purchase status)
Diorama/world-building free-edit usage status
Records of in-game item claims (e.g. reward or purchase claims, used to prevent duplicate granting of rewards)

This data is used solely to save your progress, restore your game state across sessions, and operate in-game features such as leaderboards, rewards, and the in-game store.

1.3 Advertising

The Game displays ads (including App Open, Interstitial, and Rewarded ads) served through Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads. Google and its advertising partners may collect device identifiers (such as your Advertising ID), IP address, and other technical data to serve and measure ads, and — depending on your region and consent choices — to personalize ads.

We do not control what Google’s ad network collects. Please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services for details.

Where required by law (e.g. EEA, UK), you will be shown a consent prompt before personalized ads are served, and you can change your ad preferences at any time via your device’s ad settings.

1.4 In-App Purchases

The Game offers in-app purchases (e.g. removing ads, purchasing coins or cosmetic items). Purchases are processed entirely by the Google Play Store / Apple App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details (card numbers, billing address, etc.) — this is handled by the platform’s payment system.

We only receive confirmation that a purchase was completed, which we use to unlock the relevant content on your account.

1.5 Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect:

Your real name
Email address or phone number
Precise/GPS location
Contacts, photos, or files from your device
Payment card information

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data described above to:

Save and restore your gameplay progress
Operate leaderboards and social/competitive features
Grant rewards, powerups, and purchases correctly
Display and measure advertising
Improve and maintain the Game

3. Data Storage

Gameplay data is stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication). Firebase may store data on servers located outside your country of residence.

We do not sell your data. Data may be shared with:

Google Firebase — for authentication and data storage
Google AdMob — for serving advertisements
Google Play / Apple App Store — for processing in-app purchases

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing their handling of data.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your gameplay data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the Game (Settings → Delete Account). See our Account Deletion Policy for full details.

6. Children’s Privacy

7. Your Choices

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time via the in-game Settings menu.
You may reset or limit your device’s advertising ID via your device settings.
You may purchase “Remove Ads” to stop interstitial/app-open ads (rewarded ads remain optional and require your action to view).

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
