The Cats is an Android mobile game developed and published by an independent solo developer. The game is a free collection of three cat-themed mini-games: Match & Flip, Cat Fish, and Trap the Cat.

This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected when you play, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

We personally collect none of your data. The Cats does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information to play.

The only data stored on your device is:

• Your best scores for each mini-game (stored locally on your device only, using shared preferences — never sent to us)
• Sound and settings preferences (stored locally on your device)

However, the game uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may automatically collect certain information from your device, described in Section 3.

The Cats uses Google AdMob to serve two types of ads:

Rewarded Ads Interstitial Ads

To serve and optimize ads, AdMob may collect and process:

• Advertising ID (Google Advertising ID / GAID) — a resettable device identifier
• IP address (used to determine approximate location for regional ad targeting)
• Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
• App usage and interaction data (ad impressions, clicks, view duration)
• Coarse location data derived from IP address

This data is collected and processed by Google under their own privacy policy. We do not receive or store this data ourselves.

You can opt out of personalized ads or reset your Advertising ID at any time in your Android device settings:
Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID (Android 12+) or opt out of personalized ads

The Cats is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in applicable regions under GDPR). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

The game uses standard AdMob ad formats. Parents or guardians who believe their child has used the app and have concerns are welcome to contact us using the details below.

The Cats integrates only the following third-party service:

• Google AdMob — Mobile advertising platform. Their privacy policy applies to all data they collect. View Google Privacy Policy →

No other analytics services, social SDKs, crash reporters, or third-party libraries that collect personal data are used in The Cats.

We do not sell your data. We do not share any personal information with third parties for commercial purposes.

Data processed by AdMob is governed entirely by Google's own terms and is not something we control, sell, or profit from directly beyond receiving ad revenue for impressions shown in the app.

All data stored by the game (scores, settings) lives exclusively on your device. You can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing the app's data in your Android settings.

For data collected by AdMob, please refer to Google's data retention policies and use Android's built-in Advertising ID controls to reset or delete your ad identifier.

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:

• The right to access what data has been collected about you
• The right to request deletion of your data
• The right to opt out of personalized advertising
• The right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (EU/EEA users)

Since The Cats stores no personal data on our end, most requests can be addressed by uninstalling the app and using Android's Advertising ID controls. For AdMob-specific data, contact Google directly via their privacy tools at myaccount.google.com.

Since we do not collect or transmit personal data through our own servers, there is minimal security risk from our side. All score and settings data is stored locally on your device and is subject to your device's own security protections.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the game after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users (e.g., via an in-app notice).
